When I first went to art school, I was afraid that living on my own I would just spend all my time playing video games and watching TV like I had in high school and in my brief time at UPR's biology program. So I got an apartment and didn't buy a TV, computer or any other form of entertainment other than a flip phone. I wanted art to be my only activity and source of entertainment. I thought I would be super productive. What I accomplished was making myself super depressed and unproductive until I slowly started re-introducing stuff like books, a TV, a computer and internet into my life. Balance can be a really good thing. Unfortunately then I realized that I did, in fact, probably need some kind of income to live on so that I could pay for the stuff that makes life less miserable. Which started the slippery slope into applying for law school.
